Amidst the complex global situation and the passage of time, there remains a space eroded by injustice. The boundaries of hope and peace have collapsed, creating cracks in historical spaces and immeasurable wounds in many lives.
We invite viewers to explore the sensitivities of life under the state of war and reflect on significant events impacting the contemporary world, which may be suppressed and obscured by the media.
'Sentimental Fission' will be on display from August 6 – 18, 2024, on the 4th Floor of the Bangkok Art and Culture Centre (BACC). Closed on Mondays.

Prach is particularly interested in the traces and remnants of urban landscapes, especially in his hometown of Narathiwat. The region's history of conflict has left physical and emotional scars on the city. Through his art, he aims to address the lasting impacts of violence, such as fear and mistrust, which have become deeply embedded in the collective memory. His series Safe Place, for instance, reflect his childhood trauma of witnessing a school building being burned down in 2004. These personal experiences have shaped his artistic practice, as he seeks to confront and heal the wounds of the past.
